type='text'>no school, no rules!

i was accepted into uc berkeley as a spring transfer, so i've spent the this past semester + summer in a purgatorial state between colleges. this turned out to be a long, smokey haze of unemployment and brokeass-ery followed by the most miserable month of my life, then the best week ever(!). and here we are now, which i'm too stoned to even find an adjective for. stoney, i guess.

so i spent a large chunk of the fall working full-time at a minimum-wage job at a business on the fringes of legality, where the hours were shit and the owners were scum (thanks, craigslist). i ended up quitting about a week before my birthday, to my relief. but knowing me, i'd managed to get into another car accident and was financially responsible for fixing the mercedes. after some scrambling for a new job, i nailed an interview on the morning of my 21st, celebrated in downtown fullerton that night, and then took off early the next morning for what turned out to be such a beautiful trip to santa cruz/sf. a guy friend and i went to visit another friend up north where i took LSD and fell in love with northern california and lifeeee.

but now i'm back and for the past week i've been working part-time for a corporate retailer who doesn't know i'll be moving in 40 days. i emptied my berkeley savings on fixing the busted car. i'm poor now, but i'm enjoying my new free time because good weed is cheap in california and trader joe's has 2 buck chuck and cheap thrills are my reason for life.

so i'm 21 and employed and my car is fixed and that's really all i need at the moment, besides december's rent. i'm feeling sentimental about leaving because i've had so many good times with the homies + roommate + ritters (our cat) at this apartment, but i'm happy because there's no place i'd rather go than berkeley. i just hope i haven't forgotten how to study.

<img width='1' height='1'
